Sire: Pomelo V (Las Cadenas)
Dam: Estanquera A (Antares)
Registered PRE with ANCCE (Spanish Studbook) and BAPSH (UK) Pending.
Colour: Cremello (ee -- CrCr gg)
Iconico is the first cremello PRE to be born outside of Spain. There are only 18 (excluding Iconico) male, DNA colour tested, cremello PRE's, registered in the Spanish Studbook. Out those, there are only 6 currently graded for breeding.
Iconico doesn't carry grey, and will always pass on one copy of the cream gene to his offspring.
Apart from his amazing colour, Iconico has outstanding conformation and paces. His sire, Pomelo V, is by the famous Paco Marti stallion, Revoltoso XXIX, and is doing exceptionally well in competitive dressage in the UK. Iconico's dam, Estanquera A, is by the equally famous stallion, Claudio Vives (also of Paco Marti breeding) , owned by the Antares stud farm. In his book 'Historical and Current Stallions of the Purebred Spanish Horse', Alvero Domecq Romero says of Claudio Vives, 'This is a quality horse, a good horse, beautiful and with excellent
Iconico really does have it all, quality, conformation, movement, colour, and a lovely, trainable, temperament. He is a big, strong, typey colt, who will be an asset to any stud, and should make an outstanding dressage horse.
We jointly own Iconico with Karen & Ray Collison of the Aztec Stud, so please either contact myself, or Karen, for further information, and price.
Below are Iconico's grandsire's, Revoltoso XXIX and Claudio Vives
Sire: Macedonio-MAC. (Cardenas)
Dam: Tuna XVIII. (Yeguada Aimaran)
Registered PRE with ANCCE (Spanish Studbook) and BAPSH (UK).
To make approx. 15.2hh.
Colour: Grey (EE AA Gg nd1nd1)
This friendly, affectionate colt is looking for a kind, experienced, home. Would suit someone who is looking for the traditional type of Spanish horse which excels at collection. He would make a great breeding stallion, show or dressage prospect, as he has straight action, correct conformation and a lovely temperament. Siblings are also showing an aptitude for jumping!
Both parents have amazing paces.
He is tested homozygous for nd1, which is a mutated form of dun, so all his offspring will have primitive markings and some degree of dilution. He also has only one grey gene, so can sire non-greying offspring.
His sire has been very successful in the showring, at both County and National level, as would be expected, since he is half brother to the 2002 Champion Stallion of Spain and closely related to many more Champions of Spain through his sire, the legendary Candau stallion, Legionario XIX. His pedigree includes many famous horses, including Ranchero III, Leviton, Reclamo, Vasallo II, and Lenguaje to name but a few.
Macedonio-MAC, has many brothers, nephews and nieces who are Calificado, GP dressage horses, and Champions of Spain.
The last video above is of Vencejo's sire, Macedonio-MAC, being schooled by Robyn Wetherall. Vencejo is the image of his sire, so gives it gives a good idea of what he should look like when mature.
Vencejo's dam, Tuna XVII, is 3/4 sister to JRR stallion, Amaranto De Aimaran. She is also grandaughter of Ingenioso XX Calificado and GP dressage multichampion, and Estrella XVI multichampion in Morphology.
Lovely chap, who always leaves his hay to come for a cuddle!

Dam: Duquesa XLVII
Stunning 14.2 homebred 8 year old grey PRE (Purebred Spanish) mare registered with BAPSH and ANCCE.
Brought on slowly and sympathetically to allow her time to mature. Her movement is impressive and very straight. She also shows great enthusiasm for jumping. Introduced to show jumping this year and, although a work in progress, is demonstrating real potential. Has enjoyed a number of trips to country rides over the last year & a half and again has shown natural ability over a variety of cross country fences.
Recently placed in her first BE80 One Day Event with a 31 (69%) dressage, just one down in the show jumping phase and clear cross country.
Selling Aurora has not been an easy decision and I am looking for a five star home where she can progress and have some fun. She is a spirited horse (not naughty) so I would not recommend her for a novice rider. She would ideally suit a competent teenager or small adult.
Aurora can be seen at Katie Magee’s yard near Catterick, North Yorkshire.
